In 2000, Olivado developed the world's first Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Avocado Oil from the fresh, ripe flesh of New Zealand avocados. Sustainability is in the roots of Olivado. We have a circular economy second to none. Our biofueled plant in Kenya is run on the avocado waste from the cold pressing method. The waste from that is then fed back under the avocado trees as fertiliser. Committed to the fight against food waste, we are currently completing a biofuel factory in New Zealand that will close the loop on our sustainability commitment and further reduce our waste. In doing so, by 2023 we will be carbon positive. Fundamentally, we believe that a sustainable food system is the only way forward and it is in everyone's advantage to be onboard.
