Maca has been traditionally grown exclusively in the central Andes at above 4000 metres. What sets it apart from other plants in the Brassicaceae family is its ability to adapt to some of the harshest conditions on Earth at the high altitudes where it grows. It is often called an "adaptogenic" because it passes on its fantastic abilities to those who consume it. High in iron and vitamin B2, it can be used as a caffeine-free alternative to coffee to support the mind and body. Simply add it to smoothies, hot chocolate, porridges and bakes.

Naturya Maca is of the finest quality. The Maca roots are dug out using a small hoe called cashu to prevent damage, then dried naturally in the sun for 10 to 15 days. The roots are washed and dehydrated at 45°C under humidity control.
