Regional Information
The acclaim Jackson Estate generates is based on the merit of its soils, mature, cool climate vineyards and wine making style. High sunshine hours maximise fruit concentration; a long, dry growing season enables aroma accumulation and even ripening. Cool nights retain high acidity in the grapes, allowing the wines to age well. This wine is an expression of our beloved Pinot Noir. Vinification Details
Each parcel of handpicked fruit is gently destemmed into small open top fermenters, retaining a large proportion of whole berries. The young wine spends a few weeks on its skins before being pressed to a mixture of new and older French oak barrels for maturation. The wine is then bottled without fining or filtration.
