We've worked hard over the past few years to find a way of curing our bacon to keep it food safe whilst also avoiding using nitrates or nitrite salts, traditionally used to make bacon. This is the result. Great tasting bacon cured with salt and flavoured with organic fruits and vegetable extracts; lemons and the fruit of the Mediterranean carob tree. Sliced thinly to allow it to crisp up perfectly. Great Taste Award Winner! Gold Star 2023. 'Iâm normally a smoked bacon person, but so love the flavour of this, I donât require it any other way! The rashers are fabulously thin, so you can get proper crispness, excellent for chopping up and crumbling over a salad, but obviously excellent left whole to be eaten as tradition dictates with fried eggs, too.' Keep refrigerated below 5oC. Once opened use within 3 days and by the date shown on front of pack. Suitable for home freezing. Freeze on day of purchase and use within 3 months. Fully defrost before using and use on same day.
Preparation and Usage
Grill or fry turning for 4 to 6 minutes, turning occasionally. Ensure bacon is piping hot before serving. For the perfect bacon sandwich, serve between bread, lashings of butter and tomato ketchup.
Our top tip: For the best, crispy bacon, remove your bacon from the fridge 30 minutes before you want to make your sandwich to bring the bacon up to room temperature.
